Hi, I’m Michelle, the woodworker, teacher, and creative mind behind Wicked Wood.

I’ve always believed that there’s something pretty special about making something with your own two hands. There’s a certain satisfaction that comes from taking a pile of lumber, a few tools, and an idea and turning them into something you can actually use—and hopefully be proud of!

During the school year, I teach high school woodshop, where I get to introduce students to the world of woodworking and watch them discover that they are capable of creating some pretty amazing things. I love teaching, I love woodworking, and eventually it seemed only natural to combine the two.

That’s where Wicked Wood came in.

Wicked Wood is about more than just building projects. It’s about trying something new, learning a skill, meeting people, laughing a lot, and maybe getting a little sawdust on you along the way. My classes are designed for real people—not professional woodworkers. You don’t need years of experience or a garage full of tools. You just need to show up, put on your closed-toe shoes, and be willing to give it a try.

I offer hands-on woodworking classes where you can build everything from practical home décor and seasonal projects to pieces that make great gifts. I also enjoy creating custom projects and working with groups, organizations, and anyone looking for a fun, creative experience.

And yes, there will probably be snacks.

At Wicked Wood, mistakes are part of the process, perfection is overrated, and having a good time is highly encouraged.

So whether you’re an experienced woodworker or someone who has never picked up a power tool before, come make something with us.

You might leave with a finished project.

You’ll definitely leave with a story.

And there’s a pretty good chance you’ll leave with a little sawdust in your shoes.

Three in One Project

This project has something for everyone!  TV tray / lap desk, fold its legs up and carry your favorite casserole to the next pot luck. Flip it upside down and fill it with seasonal decor to tablescape for your center piece.  No experience necessay, all materials will be provied.  Please wear closed -toe shoes and pack your sense of humor-we're going to have a great time!
