Accomodations will be at Augustana College, Rock Island. All participants will have single rooms. Vegetarian, vegan gluten and dairy free meals will be available. Kosher meals available upon request.
Participants: Each ELCA College or University is invited to send a campus team to the conference. Each campus cohort team should include if possible; 2 students of differing faith traditions, 1 faculty member, 1 chaplain or campus pastor and an additional administrator or the President. Each group will have time for specific planning for their campus, and there will be special times for students, chaplains, faculty and presidents to gather as cohort groups. Bishop Eaton and Eboo Patel will also have a special meeting time with presidents who attend.
Cost: Due to a generous grant from the ELCA Churchwide Organization and support from Augustana College, program, food, and housing costs will all be provided. Travel costs will need to be covered by each campus sending participants.
Schedule: The conference will begin with supper on Sunday, June 1 and end with lunch on Tuesday, June 3. A detailed schedule will be sent to all participants at a later time.
Travel: Augustana College is a proud citizen of the Quad Cities, a diverse community of 400,000 residents which spans the border between Illinois and Iowa on the Mississippi River. The metro area is made up of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa, Moline and Rock Island in Illinois, and the smaller surrounding communities.
Participants traveling to the conference may drive or fly. The Quad City International airport is a short distance from campus. MLI is the airport code. Augustana will provide airport transportation to and from campus as well as free parking for those who drive.
