Event Description

Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice Basic Training is for attorneys, mental health professionals, and financial planners interested in a new methodology for resolving the issues inherent in divorce and other legal matters. In Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice:

  • Lawyers focus on out-of-court settlement;
  • Clients make their own decisions rather than look to a judge;
  • Mental health professionals provide emotional support and teach communiction skills; and
  • Financial professionals assist by gathering and analyzing financial information, and by working with clients to develop sustainable solutions.

TACP's 2-day educational program uses a lecture-experiential learning model to explore the fundamentals of Collaborative Practice. It will provide you with the foundation necessary to develop a practice that includes helping people resolve their disputes using this dynamic model.

Judge Michele Lowrance (Ret.), author of The Good Karma Divorce and a long time advocate of Collaborative divorce, will join us for a reception on Friday evening, May 2nd. Registration includes reception Friday evening; light refreshments will be served. If you know someone who would like to attend the reception only, they can register here.

Register by April 4th to take advantage of early bird pricing and to ensure a spot - space is limited.
