The Delaware Geological Survey is hosting a research symposium consisting of presentations related to geologic programs and research in Delaware. Talks will include topics such as aquifer mapping, Piedmont geology, and surficial geologic mapping in Sussex County as well as updates on ongoing DGS research programs. This meeting is targeting geoscience professionals as well as planners, engineers, and others that use geologic data. Documentation for PG credits (4.5 Credit Hours) or other applicable continuing education credits will be made available for those attending. The DGS will be hosting an open house at the DGS Building from 3:00-4:00. The DGS staff will be available to discuss ongoing research and answer any questions you may have regarding our symposium presentations. Tours of the DGS building, including the Core and Sample Repository, will be given. Copies of DGS Publications will be available for free. Light refreshments will be served.

Lunch is on your own. There are two on-campus lunch options including the Scrounge Cafe located in the Perkins Student Center which features a made-to-order grill, a Mexican fare station, as well as a salad, soup and yogurt bar. There is also Russell Dining Hall with a cash only buffet for $10.20. Main Street offers many restaurants as well. Travel time on foot from the Perkins Center to Main Street is about 10 minutes and wait times at the restaurants vary. We have a one hour break for lunch, so plan accordingly.
Parking is available at the Perkins Parking Garage. The cost for the day is $12.
