Maumee, Ohio is our home. It’s our place of business, employment, and piece of mind. As you know, we are a tight knit community with a sense of familiarity that reminds us of the comforts we dreamt of as children and now desire for our own. It is our duty to preserve our cities integrity and beauty for generations to follow. Our goal, (to our knowledge) has never been done before within our city limits. In honor of Maumee’s 175th anniversary, we are trying to organize a local photo walk. Welcoming anyone within and surrounding our community; of any age, to participate in capturing the beauty we are blessed to see as a local resident. We want to open our arms, present our historic architecture, and glorify our natural beauty that resides around our city and parks. We feel as if it’s our responsibility to offer a glimpse inside of one of Ohio’s, if not America’s greatest small towns from our vision and perspective.
We are seeking sponsorships, to help with funding our event. All proceeds, 100%, are being donated to Tori Jennings and her needs. I have never met her. In fact, I did not know her until this morning. My mind has been racing, and I have been pacing around trying
to come up with the words that would motivate others to make an impact on a strangers life, when quite possibly those closer around us struggle as well. I have not slept much. I know that my life has some minor purpose and every day when I wake up, I try to justify my existence. She was brought to my attention in correlation with my photo walk endeavor. All proceeds are going to help pay for her medical bills. Tori has ties to Maumee as well as Anthony Wayne and is currently at St. Lukes Hospital. She is a student at BGSU and has her entire life ahead of her. As details emerge about the photo walk, we can elaborate on our efforts to support Tori's ongoing battle.
To us, this represents our community to perfection. We are an open door, and open arms city in the heartland of America. Your sponsorship will help encourage others to participate in an event that is truly the first of it’s kind. We will gratefully acknowledge your donation on our community walk t-shirts, within all social media and print advertisement. Your sponsorship will help cover t-shirt costs, food and beverage, and most importantly Tori’s medical needs.
On Saturday, July 27th, our event will successfully take place within the same streets you call home. The interest in this event has been overwhelming, and we fully intend on making this a tradition and staple within our community. Not only will the entry fee
for the event be donated, but we plan on selling prints from the local photographers at the Maumee Summer Fair, and once again, all proceeds will be given to the needs of Ms. Jennings. Any donation, sponsorship, or help would be a tremendous representation of the good we have come to know in and around Maumee , Ohio. Regardless of your decision, we appreciate your time and for your continuing support for all local organized events. Best wishes, God Bless.
