In conjunction with the Visual Art Group, the London Region is offering a lo-fi photography workshop, led by Jay Charnock FRPS and Del Barrett ARPS. The day will begin with an introduction to lo-fi photography, where participants will be given hints and tips on what to look for and how to produce effective lo-fi images.
This will be followed by a mentored, urban walk (1.5 miles), where participants will have the chance to try out a variety of equipment.
The day will finish with a review of images taken during the walk.
•The price of the workshop does NOT include any film. Participants should either bring their own or purchase it from us (at cost price) on the day. B&W (35mm and 120mm), Polaroid film, 35mm slide-film for cross-processing and 35mm colour will be available. We can order other types on request.
•There will be the chance to have films processed at a one hour lab, but the cost of this is not included in the price of the workshop.
•Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment, but a variety of different kit will also be available for participants’ use, including Lomo, Polaroid and pinhole cameras.
•Additionally, we have pinhole and Lomo lenses (and adapters) which will fit the following cameras: Nikon (D700), Nikon (D7000) and Panasonic (), but participants will need to bring their own cameras, memory cards and batteries to use these.
•Tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be provided, but lunch is not included.
