MN DNR Firearms Safety Class
This class runs for 4 days, each a 4 hour long session. Every students needs to attend all 4 sessions in order to complete the class.
The classes are on Friday's and Saturdays. Friday nights are run from 6pm - 10pm and the Saturdays mornings are from 8am - Noon.
The $40 fee covers all of the students Gun Rentals, Ammunition, Targets, and Range Fees. With the $40 fee, the student will get member rates at the shooting range for 6 months from their class date (must present dated certificate to receive discounted pricing). Familes are also able to deduct the $40 fee from a full membership price.
These fees are regulated by Metro Gun Club - After completion of this course the student will be responsible to pay an additional $7.50 to the DNR for their certificate online.
What you will need to bring with you the first night of class?
- 16yrs and older will need a Government issued ID (Drivers license, Birth Certificate or Passport).
- Under 16yrs will need a Government issued ID (Birth certificate or passport).
How old do you need to be to take the DNR certification class?
- Minimum age is 11 to take the course.
