Welcome to the Japan-Brazil Malaria Workshop 2017!
REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED
This workshop aims to unite young Japanese and Brazilian researchers in order to forge new collaborations. The workshop will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the University of Sao Paulo on March 15th, 16th and 17th 2017. Applications for places are now being accepted from young researchers in Brazil and Japan (see below for eligibility). Applications are welcome from researchers at any stage in their careers, but full expense coverage will only be offered to those who have obtained their PhD degrees within the last 10 years.
Workshop details
The workshop will be organized around three major themes:
1) Malaria Epidemiology and Population Genetics
2) Parasite Biology, Drugs and Vaccine Development
3) Vector Biology and Control
Attendees will present their research projects in dedicated poster sessions to be held each day. In each session three poster presenters will be selected to deliver a short formal talk (10 minutes). All particpents must prepare posters, even if chosen for oral presentations. The objective of the poster session is to allow every participant to present his/her work and encourage discussion and debate of important scientific questions relevant to the major themes of the session.
