Soil Health Partnership demo farmers Ray and Chris Gaesser along with the Iowa Soybean Association will be hosting a soil health meeting at the Gaesser Farm. Please join us for a practical discussion of soil health and field management. Lunch will be provided.

The Soil Health Partnership brings together diverse partner organizations including commodity groups, federal agencies, universities and environmental groups to work toward the common goal of improving soil health. Over a period of at least 10 years, the SHP will identify, test and measure farm management practices that improve soil health while benefiting farmers and the environment. Elyssa McFarland is the Soil Health Partnership Field Manager for Iowa. Raised on a grain and livestock farm east of Columbus Junction, Iowa, she attended Iowa State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy and spent summers as an intern with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Elyssa recently completed a dual Master's degree in Agronomy and Soil Science from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.
