The program begins with a drama about the relevance of the message of Christmas in a world full of hurt, anger, despair, and regret. And we know the birth of Jesus does matter, because we live in the midst of the pain found in this world. After the drama, our musicians will share the ancient story: with the choir and the Chancel Bells, we’ll anticipate the coming of Emmanuel. The orchestra and the Ignite band will help the choir and youth, along with the shepherds and the heavenly host, tell the world of the birth of Jesus! And as we celebrate in joy and wonder, we’ll affirm our call to spread the light of Christ, that light that came to Bethlehem as a tiny babe, throughout the world.
